“It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.” (Mark 4:31-32)
Jesus pictures his kingdom as a seed almost too small to see. His Church began the same way: twelve ordinary men, no army and no platform. Yet the King planted them, and his reign grew beyond all forcing. That is how his kingdom spreads, through faithful people planted in everyday places, speaking the gospel and opening room for strangers. Do not judge the kingdom by its size today. The King who planted the seed tends its growth.
Prayer: King Jesus, our King, plant us where you want us to grow, and make your Church a shelter for all who need shade. Amen.
