“Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” (Mark 5:19)
Mark 5 brings Jesus to a man among the tombs, a woman worn down by twelve years of bleeding, and a father whose daughter has died. To each, the King gives what no one else could: freedom, healing, and life. The restored man wanted to follow Jesus on the boat. Jesus sent him home instead, to tell his own people what the Lord had done. That is how the Church still grows. A restored life witnesses where it already lives, among family and neighbors. We tell plainly, close to home, what mercy has done for us.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, our King, restore us and send us home as witnesses, telling plainly what you have done for us. Amen.
