At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.

The disciples marveled at the temple stones; Jesus looked ahead to his coming in glory. His warning is plain: wars, deception, and hardship will come, and his Church will feel them. None of it can undo his promise. The Son of Man comes in power and gathers his people from every corner of the earth. That gathering steadies the Church now, wherever faith costs something. We watch and live ready, because our King is coming for his own.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, our King, keep us watchful and faithful until you gather your Church to yourself. Amen.
