Matthew 1:21 (NIV) “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
Before Jesus performed a single miracle, His mission was named: Savior. Matthew opens with a genealogy of broken people — yet grace runs straight through it to a manger. Your past doesn’t disqualify you; it’s where grace finds you. His name is a promise He keeps.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for coming to save sinners like me. Cover my failures with Your grace today, and make my life a witness to Your saving power. Amen.
