John’s whole ministry was a pointer. Preaching repentance, he refused the spotlight. True repentance bears fruit — changed hearts, changed lives. Then he pointed to Jesus: He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Even Jesus was baptized — to fulfill all righteousness and stand with us. Heaven opened: “This is my Son, whom I love.” That same Spirit is yours today — to cleanse, fill, and empower. Come thirsty; leave burning.
Prayer: Lord, make my repentance real and my life fruitful. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit, and let my life point others to Jesus. Amen.
