“In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:14)
If a shepherd has a hundred sheep and one wanders off, he leaves the ninety-nine and goes after the one. That is the picture of our Father’s heart. He never writes anyone off as an acceptable loss. The one who drifted away still fills his thoughts, and his love goes looking. That love brought Jesus down to us, and it still sends the church outward. Ask him today for his eyes to see the one nobody is looking for.
Prayer: Father, thank you for seeking me when I wandered. Make my heart like yours. Show me the one you want me to reach, and give me the courage to go. Amen.
